Build with Chainlink — JKUAT Campus Workshop
Chainlink is coming to Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
If you've been curious about how real-world data gets onto the blockchain — and how developers are building applications that actually use it — this session is for you.
Build with Chainlink is a hands-on workshop designed to take you from understanding what Chainlink does to knowing how to build with it. We'll cover the core tools and services developers rely on — from price feeds and verifiable randomness to cross-chain messaging — and walk through how you can start integrating them into your own smart contract projects.
Whether you're a computer science student, a developer exploring Web3, or someone who's heard about blockchain and wants to understand the infrastructure powering it, you'll leave with practical knowledge and a clear next step.
What to expect:
An introduction to Chainlink's oracle network and why it matters
Live demos of Chainlink services in action
A walkthrough of how to start building with Chainlink tools
Time for Q&A and community connection
Details 📅 Thursday, 9th April 2025 🕔 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM EAT 📍 JKUAT, Instruction Room, IPIC

About Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform bringing the capital markets onchain and powering the majority of decentralized finance (DeFi). The Chainlink stack provides the essential data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy standards needed to power advanced blockchain use cases for institutional tokenized assets, lending, payments, stablecoins, and more. Since inventing decentralized oracle networks, Chainlink has enabled tens of trillions in transaction value and now secures the vast majority of DeFi.
Many of the world’s largest financial services institutions have also adopted Chainlink’s standards and infrastructure, including Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International, UBS, ANZ, and top protocols such as Aave, GMX, Lido, and many others. Chainlink leverages a novel fee model where offchain and onchain revenue from enterprise adoption is converted to LINK tokens and stored in a strategic Chainlink Reserve. Learn more at chain.link.
