About Event

The Inco x Megapot Summer Game Jam is a two week hackathon to build onchain games, with $10K in prizes across two tracks.

The Inco team are hosting an in-person session in Bangalore to help you go from zero to working repo or submitted project, with Inco engineers there to answer all your questions.

Inco enables you to build onchain games that are actually fun by giving you the ability to hide state onchain. This makes games like poker, Mafia, and much more possible, plus anything you can imagine.

Schedule

11:00 Doors open. Check in, coffee, find a seat.

11:15 to 12:15 Intro to the jam and privacy SDK walkthrough. How the tracks and prizes work, and how to actually use Inco Lightning in a contract. Live walkthrough of encrypted types, access control, and the patterns you'll reach for most.

12:15 to 1:00 Lunch, and time to find a team if you came solo.

1:00 to 2:45 Games showcase and game SDK. What people have already shipped on Inco, what worked, what broke. Then a deeper look at the game SDK and how to get to a playable prototype without rebuilding the privacy layer yourself.

2:45 to 5:30 Office hours and build time. Laptops open. Scope your submission and start writing code. The Inco team is in the room for the whole stretch. Bring your half formed idea and leave with a repo.

Food and drinks are on us.

Prize tracks

Inco track, $5,000.

Build the best game powered by Inco.

Inco will award $3k, $1.5k, and $500 in USDC to the best three gaming projects that use Inco Lightning for novel mechanics.

The game can be deployed on Base mainnet or Base Sepolia testnet.

Megapot track, $5,000.

Build the best game powered by Megapot, where Megapot is a meaningful part of core gameplay rather than just a link out.

Think tickets earned through gameplay or achievements, jackpot mechanics wired into progression and rewards, community ticket pools, or new ways to make the jackpot social and competitive. Split $2,500 USD and $2,500 in Megapot tickets. 1st $3,000, 2nd $1,500, 3rd $500.

Megapot submissions need a working publicly accessible prototype, a functional Megapot integration on Base, Megapot in the main user loop, and a public repo or a detailed integration write up if the project is proprietary. Judged on depth of integration 30%, gameplay and originality 25%, working product and UX 25%, potential to attract and retain users 20%.

Who should come

Blockchain devs who want to build something that isn't another DEX. Game devs curious about onchain. Anyone who has looked at fully onchain games and thought "but you can just read the state." Solo builders welcome, we'll help you find a team.

What to bring

A laptop, a charger, and a wallet with some testnet funds. If you want a head start, skim the docs at docs.inco.org before Saturday.
