About Event
The FBI didn't want you to see this movie! Come watch it with us at 7pm, July 24th, at Mouse Arts & Letters. In the 1973 film "The Spook Who Sat by the Door" we follow the first black CIA officer as he takes his training stateside, building a guerrilla movement to take down the United States. As we enter the new era of surveillance and oppression, this film and the history of its suppression can be really useful to understanding what the FBI saw as effective opposition in the previous cointelpro era.
Tickets are free but there will be food, drinks, and merch for sale (raising funds for ILC Chicago's community building and labor solidarity efforts).
