About Event

As therapists, we often help others untangle their self-doubt, perfectionism, and fears of inadequacy. Yet many of us carry those same narratives quietly within ourselves. For therapists, imposter feelings can be shaped not only by professional pressure but by cultural messages about achievement, worthiness, identity, and belonging.

This gathering is for any therapist who finds themselves:
• Struggling to internalize accomplishments or praise
• Feeling like they “should be further along,” despite evidence otherwise
• Navigating cultural or family expectations about success, helping, or achievement
• Hiding insecurities behind competence, caregiving, or overworking
• Carrying the pressure of being “the first,” “the only,” or “the one who made it”

Even though our paths differ, many of us share the experience of working in a field that asks for confidence and clarity while privately wrestling with doubt, invisibility, or the fear of being exposed as “not enough.”

In small groups, we’ll explore:
• The cultural scripts and family narratives that shaped our relationship with success
• Where imposter feelings show up—in the therapy room, in supervision, or in business decisions
• How identity intensifies these dynamics
• What helps us feel grounded, worthy, and connected to our own competence
• The stories about achievement and belonging that we’re ready to rewrite

Our intention is to offer a space where these often-hidden experiences can be named, understood, and held in community.

This free workshop will be facilitated by MHM therapist Avni Panchal, LCSW.
