Vernissage: Female Design Futures - Paris Design Week
Join us for the Vernissage of Female Design Futures, curated by White Label Project for Paris Design Week at CØR Studio in the Marais, September 10, 5 - 9 PM.
FEMALE DESIGN FUTURES invites you to immerse yourself in a dialogue between cultural heritage and contemporary aesthetics through the work of six women designers and artists: Cálamo (Guatemala), Lisa Lapointe (Australia), Studio Kallang (Singapore/New York), Studio Sana Benzaitar (Morocco), The Urbanative and Gozdava 1590 (South Africa).
Through contemporary creations, they echo traditional crafts, materials and patterns, celebrating cultural identity and honouring local knowledge and craftsmanship.The pieces on view, including objects, textiles, furniture and art, reveal a rich material narrative, shaped by the intricate weaving of the Moroccan wool and Guatemalan wicker or the geometric language of the wooden and ceramic designs.
Our co-founder Ann-Kathrin Zotz, together with the exhibitors present at the gallery, will welcome you and introduce you personally to the furniture, design objects, textiles and collectibles showcased, unveiling the narrative behind each piece.
We invite you to enjoy delicious wine served by our partner Pepìn and spend the evening immersed into unique design pieces from across the world and inspiring conversations around cultures and diversity in the contemporary design industry.
