Co-living Weekend at Hope Valley
What to expect?
A small group of 15 people will be staying together at a farm in Hope Valley, Peak District.
The weekend will be rooted in intentional simplicity, think cooking and sharing meals together, nature walks, unhurried conversation, and gentle movements to begin and close the day. There agenda will be a careful mix of facilitated activities and free time. Participants are welcome to bring their contributions in form of suggested activities, a story, a song, some moves from a folk dance, musical instruments, a quiet puzzle or board game, creativity projects and whatnot. Participants can also hold time and space to share a skill or hold deeper conversations on a topic of their choice.
The group will arrive at the farm between 5 to 7 pm on Friday and will depart between 11 am to 1 pm on Sunday. A detailed itinerary will be shared with registered participants over email.
The food scene?
This will be a self-catered weekend. We will all cook together in the onsite community kitchen. The meals will include dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday. There will also be snacks and beverages available throughout the day. Please expect vegan food. If someone has a serious allergy concern they can choose to opt out of communal meals.
Anything else?
This will be dorm-style shared accommodation in small groups of 4 to 5 individuals per room with shared bathrooms.
The venue is surrounded by natural beauty, with an onsite lake and a hiking trails nearby. There will be ample opportunity to wander out and explore the lands.
How much it cost?
Recommended contribution between £120 to £150 to be paid via bank transfer at a later stage
This cost will cover accommodation for 2 nights and all food supplies
Travel cost will be separate. You can choose to drive, take public transport or if more of us are traveling from nearby places we can arrange for a shared cab or coach.
