What this workshop covers

This is a 1-hour hands-on session showing private credit teams, fund principals, and portfolio monitoring staff how to produce an underwriting memo and a live covenant tracker, using Claude AI agents inside Claude Cowork.

We walk you through a production-ready multi-agent workflow that takes borrower financials and a credit agreement and produces a credit case plus a covenant tracker that computes each test against its threshold, so by the end of the session you can underwrite a credit and monitor it without building the tracker by hand.

Limited slots available. First come, first served.

Section 1: Running the Full Underwriting Workflow How to have Claude run the entire engine in one sequence. An Orchestrator restates the credit, the covenants, and the reporting cadence, and flags gaps. An Underwriter builds the credit case, capacity, base case, and downside. A Covenant Monitor computes each covenant against its threshold and flags headroom and any drift toward a breach. A Bull argues the credit case and the path to repayment. A Refi-Wall Bear on a fresh turn stresses the refinancing path and the maturity wall under rates that hold or rise. The run ends at the Covenant Watch Dog, which checks every calc to the agreement, confirms statements reconcile and headroom is shown, sends failed calcs back to the Underwriter, and issues a credit verdict and a watch level.

Section 2: Turning the Workflow into a Reusable Skill How to capture the run order as a Claude skill so it executes the same way every time. We build the skill that encodes each seat, the covenant computations, and the reconciliation checks, so underwriting a credit and standing up its tracker becomes a single instruction rather than a manual rebuild.

Section 3: Root Files and Workspace Configuration How the files driving the workflow actually work: the workspace identity and house rules, the skill file for the underwriting engine, the editable criteria that hold your covenant definitions and watch-level thresholds so your team can tune them per credit, and the agent files behind the Bull, Refi-Wall Bear, and Covenant Watch Dog. Configure these once and every credit you run gets underwritten, computed, and stress-tested against the same standard.

Section 4: The Scheduling Prompt How to turn this into the clearest always-on engine in the set. Configure Claude to run the Covenant Monitor across the whole book on each reporting cycle and alert on drift, so the engine you build in this session runs nightly against your portfolio and surfaces a covenant moving toward a breach before it becomes one.

What you leave with

All root files, prompts, workflows, and input templates ready to run on your own company tomorrow. 30-minute Q&A with Ayub.

Who this is for

Private credit teams, fund principals, and portfolio monitoring staff who want to compress the time between receiving borrower reporting and having an underwriting memo and a live covenant tracker that flags drift on its own.
