​pg_lake is a new series of open-source Postgres extensions that connect Postgres directly to object storage and Apache Iceberg. Write to Iceberg tables, query your lakehouse, and ship historical data all through standard Postgres, powered by DuckDB's analytical engine under the hood.

​In this session, we'll introduce you to pg_lake, its internal architecture and the design decisions behind commit handling and schema evolution. Then we'll demo it end-to-end: connect a local Postgres instance to S3, write Iceberg tables, and query them back.

​If you want to bridge transactional and analytical workloads without leaving Postgres, this one's for you.

​Building reliable agentic systems means solving hard infrastructure problems: how do you scale context retrieval, maintain performance, and keep agents grounded in accurate data? Context-heavy workloads demand relationship traversal at scale, and that's where graphs come in. As natural language interfaces mature, text-to-graph is becoming a viable option alongside text-to-SQL.

​This talk walks through a pluggable text-to-insight framework on Apache Iceberg that enables both SQL and Cypher queries against the same underlying data: richer reasoning context for agents, with no duplication and no new silos. We'll close with a proof-of-concept demo.

Iceberg Observability with OpenLineage

​Apache Iceberg enables interoperability across processing engines through an open table format, making it easier to build modern lakehouses. But as data pipelines move into production, teams also need visibility into how data is created, transformed, and consumed. OpenLineage provides an open standard for collecting lineage and operational metadata across data tools. In this talk, I will introduce OpenLineage, explain the metadata it captures, and show how it can improve observability for production pipelines built on Apache Iceberg.
