We are being hit by one crisis after another. Many feel overwhelmed and disoriented.
Looking at the broader and deeper transformations is more important than ever, letting us see the fundamental shifts that are happening around us, rather than get lost in endless crisis.
Planetary Mutations is a course about these deep time transformations. It looks at where we have come from, where we are now, and where we are going. It is about reorienting ourselves. It is about finding our place in a new map of change.
The course is also practical. Together we do our own deep time mapping of change. We build the muscle to do this in the world we live in.

Nine conceptual vignettes that reorient us for epic times:

How it works
The course uses two practices to build one living map.
Dialogue. Each theme opens with propositions about planetary change. The propositions are designed to be argued with. Participants take them apart together. We rework them and name what is missing. Then we work toward a synthesis. The propositions we end with are different from the ones we started with.
Participatory mapping. We use uMap to build a shared map of change. Each entry records what is changing, when it sits in deep time, and where it is happening on the globe. The aim is not to spot next quarter's trends. The aim is to place signals inside long arcs of change across the planet. The map keeps growing between sessions. By the end, it is a living artefact co-authored by everyone in the group.

This course is for people who think in generations rather than quarters. It suits people who suspect that no single worldview holds all the answers. It suits people who see their own health as connected to the health of the planet. It is for people who want to move from watching systemic crisis to actively shaping new political, economic and cultural responses to it.
