Join Bolt Graphics, a venture‑backed GPU startup, Director of R&D Cole Beck for a fast‑paced tech talk on how modern GPUs really work and how Bolt’s Zeus architecture is rethinking massively parallel compute for real‑time path tracing, graphics, and simulation. Drawing on his experience designing next‑generation graphics hardware at a cutting‑edge startup, Cole will walk through GPU architecture fundamentals, where traditional designs bottleneck, and how Zeus approaches cores, memory, and ray/path‑tracing differently, with time for Q&A about research directions, collaboration ideas with Duke’s hardware labs, and internship/full‑time opportunities for ECE and CS graduate students interested in architecture, compilers, and low‑level systems.
