Waterloo Robotics Tour at ROSCon Global 2026
We are excited to announce the Waterloo robotics tour for ROSCon Global 2026! This full-day bus excursion will take attendees on a guided journey through the Waterloo region's top robotics companies and its flagship university, offering an exclusive look into one of Canada's premier technology hubs.
The tour will depart from Toronto on Friday, September 25, and provide guests with behind-the-scenes access to the following organizations:
Clearpath designs and manufactures autonomous mobile robots and uncrewed ground vehicles for research and industrial applications. Founded in 2009 and acquired by Rockwell Automation in 2023, the company provides robust hardware platforms integrated with open-source software to help developers accelerate their cutting-edge robotics projects.
As the industrial division of Clearpath Robotics, OTTO Motors specializes in autonomous mobile robots for material handling in manufacturing and warehouse environments. Also part of Rockwell Automation, this team provides self-driving vehicles and sophisticated fleet management software designed to automate internal logistics and improve global supply chain efficiency.
University of Waterloo RoboHub
The RoboHub is a state-of-the-art robotics research, testing, and training facility housed in the university's Engineering 7 building. It features a globally unique and diverse fleet of robots, including fixed-base, wheeled, walking, aerial, and magnetically levitated platforms. The facility acts as the central home for robotics at the university, enabling researchers, students, and industry partners to simulate complex environments and advance innovative research in collaborative multi-robot and human-robot teams.
