Ever wondered how international giants like Jollibee, IKEA, H&M, Zara, and McDonald’s break into new countries—and don’t just survive, but win? In this simulation, you’ll do exactly that: spot the opportunity, pick your entry strategy, outsmart the competition, and manage the chaos that comes with going global.

Your takeover starts with a map (and a strategy war room) You’ll choose your home country, then investigate 11 other countries using the same kinds of factors real executives watch before expanding: Income levels and customer spending power Demographics and growth potential Country risk (economic + political stability) Trade barriers and operating difficulty Culture and local fit Competition and market intensity The world is full of “big” markets—but only some are worth the risk.

Your job is to find the winners first. Every year, you make the CEO calls Each year, you decide where to expand and how to enter—the exact choices that define global success:

[1] Wholly Owned Subsidiary: maximum control, maximum commitment
[2] Joint Venture: partner up for local expertise and shared risk
[3] Franchising: scale fast and spread your brand efficiently

And if a market goes sideways? You can make the tough call to exit a country before it drains your profits. Once you enter, it’s game on After choosing your markets, you’ll run each one like a real international operator: How much do you adapt your product to local tastes vs. keep a global identity? Do you source ingredients globally for consistency or locally for cost and credibility?

What’s your pricing strategy—premium, value, or market-share grab? How much do you spend on promotion to win customers and beat rivals? This is where your strategy becomes real—and where smart decisions compound.
