Talent~People, AI Workshop | Headhunt like a Search Firm, with Claude
βπ― The bar for talent leaders has moved. Being strategic isn't enough, you're expected to be hands-on, and increasingly that means being genuinely good at headhunting. AI has raised the ceiling on what one person can do, which means the gap between talent leaders who can run a proper search process and those who can't is widening fast.
βThis session is about closing that gap: showing you how executive search firms actually find and map senior talent, and how to rebuild that process inside Claude so you can do it yourself.
βπ The Session
βJames Wright (Founder of Velocity Leadership and the former Head of Talent at Seedcamp) will run a hands-on, two-part working session.
βPart 1 - The fundamentals to running a great search process
βWhat a classic retained search process looks like, step by step
βThe discipline behind it: how a search firm defines a brief, builds a map, and calibrates a shortlist
βHow to translate that into an in-house context and where internal teams have a real advantage, because you already know the business better than any agency ever will
βPart 2 - AI-powered market mapping
βWhere AI is genuinely strong today: market mapping - turning a role into a defensible, accurate universe of people
βThe prompting approach, and how to structure a project if you're an internal head of talent
βA live demo, built in the room
βOpen discussion on what people have already built and where it's breaking
ββ° The Format
βThis is a working session, not a talk. Expect short bursts of ~10β15 minutes followed by group discussion, with room to go deep if something lands. Come with a live role, a map you've attempted, or a prompt that didn't work - the best parts of these sessions come from the room.
