About Event

Join API Rainbow Coalition as we celebrate the lunar new year by marching into the year of the fire horse at the 127th Golden Dragon Parade hosted by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles. The LGBTQ contingent is an opportunity to show LA that there are LGBTQ people in all communities including the API community. This year, it will be the second year hosted by an Asian Rainbow Coalition including PFLAG San Gabriel Valley API, APAIT, Okaeri, Chinese Rainbow Association, VROC and many more partners and individuals. Dress in your most festive lunar new year attire and/or your group's or organization's branding.

We will be having a gathering for parade-goers! We will be meeting at Cafe Tondo - 1135 N Alameda St, Los Angeles, CA 90012 at ~4pm - 6pm. Lots of good food and drink options! Please note: this will be a "Pay-As-You-Go" reception.

Itinerary for The Day of the Parade
12PM - Show Up at the Parade Formation (enter from Temple Street onto Hill Street.)
* please arrive at the location no later than 12:30
1PM - Parade will begin!
4PM - Head to Cafe Tondo for the reception

We will be meeting in the courtyard of the building off N Hill St. We will walk from the meeting location to the staging area from there. Parking is available at multiple public lots but the easiest will be the one at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels at 555 W. Temple St. with a $12 flat fee. The fee is subject to change.
