About Event

Join Georgia Conservation Voters, Community Estrella, Out In Climate, Georgia Equality, Poder Latin X, Sierra Club for Pride + Climate—a gathering to share queer joy and claim the LGBTQ+ community’s rightful place at Atlanta Climate Week. For decades, LGBTQ+ leaders have been catalysts in environmental and climate movements, pushing for justice, resilience, and liberation.

And since time immemorial, the original, indigenous stewards of this land have been protectors and in relationship with the natural world. This connection and guardianship by Native Americans, tribes, and Indigenous peoples is still true today, and more important than ever. We will make space to honor Indigenous People’s Day.

This event will hold space for:

  • Honoring Indigenous People’s Day: Community Estrella and Arie James

  • Socializing and building new connections

  • Celebrating queer joy

  • Live painting by @ariejamestattoos

  • Hearing from co‑hosts about how we can organize, build power together, and resist the policies and institutions that seek to scare, erase, or stigmatize our community

  • Make a “vote plan” for the November 3 Election

  • Food and beverages will be served

Whether you work in environmental justice, conservation, climate tech, corporate sustainability, finance, policy, clean energy, the built environment, or simply care deeply about climate solutions, this is a chance to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new collaborators, and celebrate our growing LGBTQ+ climate community.

By joining this event, you agree to abide by Out in Climate's Code of Conduct.
