Unf*ck Housing: Berlin Meets Europe
Berlin's housing crisis isn't a Berlin problem. It's a European one. And we have the European tools to fight it.
Join us on 14 September at the Volt Berlin office for an evening that connects the dots between what's happening on Berlin's streets and what we can do about it at a European level.
Volt Europa has just launched its first-ever European Citizens' Initiative on housing, giving citizens the power to push the EU institutions directly for real solutions: faster renovation, a European Housing Agency, regulated short-term rentals, and EU-level funding for social and cooperative housing. One million signatures. Real legislative pressure. This is how Europe changes.
We'll hear from Paul Loeper (Volt Berlin Spitzenkandidat), Alberto Spatola (Treasurer, Volt Europa), Ludwig Engel (HouseEurope!) and Grit Zwingenberger (Volt Europa Pan-European Action Lead).
This is an educational evening for anyone who wants to learn more about the housing crisis and understand how European citizens' democracy actually works, and how to use it. Particularly welcoming internationals living in Berlin.
The event is in English. Free food and drinks. Registration required.
Come learn. Come sign. Come help unf*ck housing.
