Tantric Principles for AI in Intimate Contexts
Hundreds of millions of people are now in some kind of relationship with an AI system designed to meet their emotional and intimate needs. The space is growing faster than we can measure it. And it is largely ungoverned.
What frameworks are being used to evaluate whether these systems are actually serving human wellbeing — or quietly eroding it?
In this talk followed by Q&A, Belén Sánchez Hidalgo draws on her dual background as an AI governance researcher and certified intimacy coach to introduce three principles from the tantric philosophical tradition — and show what they reveal about the blind spots in how we currently design and evaluate intimate AI.
This talk is for you if you are:
A builder, researcher, or product designer working in companion AI, sexual health tech, or relationship platforms
An AI ethics or responsible AI practitioner looking for frameworks that go deeper than current standards
A clinician, therapist, or intimacy professional thinking about the intersection of AI and relational health
A governance professional or policymaker working on emotional safety in AI systems
