Australia and the Pacific: PYEN +25 - towards COP31

​Reflections about 25 years on sustainability and climate change impacts, and looking forward at the next 25 years, with some of the founding members of the Pacific Youth Environment Network (PYEN). The inaugural PYEN event held in 2001 was sponsored by the United Nations Environment Program and South Pacific Regional Environment Program.

​This 2026 event brings together experts in investment, policy, community engagement, energy, education and innovation - an intergenerational dialogue at a critical time in the lead up to COP31.

​Panellists include:

​Sharona Coutts: lawyer in the climate and carbon industry, connecting finance with nature. 

​Andrew Stanton: co-founder of PYEN, economic policy specialist and first nations engagement.

​Susan Moylan-Coombes: Associate Professor, TD School, UTS
