Discussion: AI's impact on Developing Countries
We’re hosting a discussion group on how advances in artificial intelligence might shape the future of developing countries.
AI could bring major benefits for economic growth, healthcare, education, and public services. But it could also disrupt labor markets, widen global inequalities, and create new security threats by making it easier for malicious actors to cause harm.
Join us for an informal discussion about what AI could mean for low-income countries, and how governments and international development institutions can help make the most of its opportunities while addressing its risks.
We'll begin with a short introduction, followed by small-group discussions with discussion questions.
The event is open to the public. We’d love for anyone interested in international development, economics, technology, or public policy to join. No prior knowledge of AI or development is needed.
