​🤔 What is Vibe Coding?

​Vibe coding is a term coined by Andrej Karpathy on February 2, 2025. It means using AI to help build software faster by describing what you want in natural language instead of writing every line of code manually.

​It is a double-edged sword: you can build quickly, but without good practices, the code can become messy, unreliable, and hard to maintain.

​In this workshop, we’ll show how to use vibe coding properly to build concrete, reliable apps with clear design, modular code, debugging, and early refactoring.

​Dr. Issam Laradji is a Research Scientist at ServiceNow Research and an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia. He has 14+ years of experience in AI research and 80+ publications at top venues including NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, and CVPR. He leads the Predictive & Insights Agent Team at ServiceNow, where his work focuses on AI agents, deep research systems, enterprise AI, forecasting, and reliable AI workflows.
