Kid's Crocheting Workshop
Dear Friends,
Do you have a rising 4-6 grader who is interested in learning how to crochet? We invite your kids to join us for a Beginner’s Crochet Workshop this August! It's a wonderful opportunity for them to gather with friends, focus their energy, and immerse themselves in a relaxing, tactile craft.
The workshop will be led by Maddy Varela, a rising sophomore at Amherst College, home for the summer. She’s an avid crafter who loves hands-on projects and enjoys sharing her passion for crocheting with kids.
In this beginner-friendly session, we will gently guide students through the foundational basics of crocheting. They will learn how to confidently start with a slip knot, master the single crochet, and practice both increase and decrease stitches. Using these new skills, they'll create their very own blooming flower charm, a great way to showcase their new craft on their school backpacks!
