About Event

Join us at the Broadway Climate Summit for an exciting workshop on sustainable production and circular design!

What if you didn’t have to choose between bold artistic vision and environmental responsibility?

Just as vital as the stories we tell on stage is how we build them. The worlds we create in the theater don’t just reflect our reality; they can model sustainable practices and inspire a more resilient, thriving future beyond the stage. From set design to material sourcing, every production choice has the potential to make a seismic impact — both on and off the stage.

Join this dynamic, solutions-driven workshop where you'll dive into real-world strategies for sustainability that you can bring to your productions, theater companies, and arts organizations — whether you're part of a grassroots company or a major institution.

Learn from industry leaders who are reshaping the future of theater through sustainable practices and circular design, including the Sustainable Production Toolkit, IATSE United Scenic Artists 829, Materials for the Arts, Hudson Valley Shakespeare, Broadway Green Alliance, and more.

Whether you're working on a shoestring budget or mounting a full-scale production, you’ll walk away with practical tools, resources, and inspiration to green your productions and organizations.

Please note: First come, first served. Due to limited capacity, registration for this individual event does not guarantee entrance.

This free workshop is part of the inaugural Broadway Climate Summit, a one-day summit in NYC, bringing together theater professionals and climate advocates to reimagine an industry that prioritizes sustainability, climate storytelling, and theater as a cultural movement for our planet.
