A Night with Varun Grover: Satire & Collective Echoes - ft Deepak @vision2vibes
“A Night with Varun” is an intimate evening of conversation, storytelling, and community at Wanakam.
The night begins with a cozy 30-minute living room-style conversation with Varun, diving into his set, creative process, and the themes woven through his work. Through humor, poetry, and sharp observation, Varun explores the layered realities of South Asian life, and we want to spend some time inside the mind behind the craft.
From there, we’re opening the space up for something deeply personal to us: a potluck of partition and migration stories. We’re inviting everyone to bring fragments of home — photographs, family recipes, songs, objects, or oral histories passed down through generations. Partition and migration scattered so many of our stories across borders and time, and for one evening, we want to gather some of those pieces back together.
The whole evening will roughly run for about an hour and a half, but honestly, Wanakam feels more like home than a venue. No rigid schedule, no rushing anyone out the door — just honest community energy, conversations that wander, and people staying as long as they want to.
To close the night, the brilliant Deepak (@vision2vibes) will be taking over the decks.
