About Event

Get ready for a private after-hours tour of The Hole on the Bowery, one of downtown New York's most gleefully unruly contemporary art galleries (yes, it's named after a legendary underground lesbian bar, and yes, that spirit is very much alive).

Led by Director Jane Carletta (formerly of PACE), Chapter members will get an exclusive walkthrough of New Traditionalists, The Hole's first-ever exhibition exploring where art and design collide.

Borrowing its title from Devo's 1981 album, New Traditionalists brings together a wildly eclectic group of artists including Jorge Pardo, Misha Kahn, and Beverly Fishman, whose work spans ceramics, furniture, textiles, glass, painting, and collage.
