Citizens’ Panel on climate adaptation in the UK - Dialogue Report Launch
Join us for the launch of a new dialogue report from the Climate Change Committee’s Citizens’ Panel on Climate Adaptation in the UK, supported by Sciencewise.
The panel brought together a diverse group of citizens to explore what a well-adapted UK could and should look like. It focussed on five impacts of climate change: overheating in homes, the impact of climate change on nature, transport disruptions, flooding of homes, and water and energy shortages and disruptions.
At this event we will share key findings from the dialogue, including citizens' levels of awareness and concern, their policy preferences and priorities, and their rationale for their views. We will also hear how the panel's findings have informed the CCC’s Well-Adapted UK report.
Speakers and panelists include members of the project team (CCC and Ipsos UK), the project's independent evaluator (URSUS) and a representative from Sciencewise. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions about the findings, impacts, process and implications for future climate policy and public engagement.
