What’s Wrong with Avery? An Environmental Justice Game

​🌎 This year at PNW Climate Week, Basilica Bio will be sharing our new online game, What’s Wrong With Avery? with the public for the first time! Join us as we explore our new online resource that allows players to explore the social determinants of health by building a healthy and equitable neighborhood for Avery. We built this game through years of participatory research as part of our Climate Classroom Initiative and cannot wait to share it with you! 🌃𓍙.ೃ࿔*:･

​Our evening will kick off with a brief introduction to Basilica Bio, as we give you a behind-the-scenes look at how we approach bringing Seattle’s Frontline Communities free resources aimed at building a just and equitable future. Then, we will play What’s Wrong With Avery?, and end the night with a panel discussion featuring some of Seattle’s Environmental Justice Leaders, our Climate Classroom Initiative team, and community partners. 𓂃 ོ⋆☀︎𓂃ᨒོ

Together, we will:
🪻༘ Share an inside look at how Basilica Bio approaches community partnerships
🐞 Learn about what it means to do Environmental Justice work in climate spaces
🦋༘ Demo our online game for the first time
🌻 Understand the social determinants of health

Basilica Bio wants to share our approach to collaboration with other EJ organizations, and introduce new partners to what it looks like to build and share EJ resources, everyone has a stake in Environmental Justice.
