Foundations with ChatGPT (WA-103)
Choose PayNow at checkout and you will receive our exclusive AI Cheat-Sheet—a handy quick-reference to every concept and prompt covered in the course.
ChatGPT can help you draft messages, explain unfamiliar information, organise ideas and plan practical tasks. The difficult part is knowing what to ask, what to trust and what information should stay private.
Foundations with ChatGPT (WA-103) is a three-hour, beginner-first course that gives you a simple, repeatable way to use ChatGPT safely and productively. You will follow live demonstrations and complete two guided individual exercises using your own device.
For the best learning experience, we recommend bringing a fully charged laptop. If you cannot bring a laptop, an iPad, other tablet or smartphone is also suitable.
No previous AI experience or paid ChatGPT subscription is required. The ChatGPT Free plan is sufficient for every required activity. What you will learn
What ChatGPT is, what it does well and where it can fail
How to navigate and use ChatGPT on a laptop, tablet or smartphone
How to use the CLEAR framework to give better instructions
How to improve an unsatisfactory answer through follow-up instructions
How to recognise assumptions and verify important information
How to protect personal, customer and workplace information
How to save a reusable prompt and choose a practical next task
Who this is for
This course is designed for absolute beginners and members of the general public who are comfortable with basic use of a laptop, tablet or smartphone.
If you attended WA-101, much of the foundational material will already be familiar. WA-103 is not an advanced follow-on course.
Foundations with Google Gemini (WA-102) and Foundations with ChatGPT (WA-103) are standalone beginner courses built around different AI assistants. You do not need to take them in sequence. Participants taking both should expect the core foundations to overlap.
Beyond Chat (WA-201) is a separate optional power-user course with its own scope and requirements.
