AGENDA
17:30 - Door open
18:00 - Talk #1: Beyond the vibe check — how Text benchmarks LLMs at scale
By Bartek Lewandowski, Machine Learning Engineer @ Text
Picking an LLM looks easy - until you run it on your own data. I'll take you backstage of how our AI R&D team at Text really evaluates models on real features. We'll put GPT, Claude, Gemini and open-source models head-to-head, covering the metrics we trust, how we prepared for the flood of new models to test in days, not weeks, whether they're worth switching to, and what each one truly costs in production.
18:25 - Talk #2: From AI Tools to an AI Workflow — Building a dev harness, ticket to PR
By Szymon Graczyk, Head of App Core @ Text
Most engineering teams now have AI coding tools. Far fewer have an AI coding workflow. At Text we had the tooling, an AGENTS.md, a dozen-plus reusable skills, MCP, but everyone used it differently. This talk shows how we turned that into a standard, local-first development harness: a guided ticket-to-PR path with deterministic guardrails (think ESLint for agents, no LLM calls) and session observability, plus what we deliberately chose not to build.
18:50 - Talk #3: Has AI killed platform engineering?
Probably not. But it is definitely changing what "platform" really means.
As AI agents become part of the development workflow - generating code, making decisions, and moving fast - platform engineering is becoming even more strategic. In this talk, we will explore how the role of platform teams is shifting: from components and tooling toward shared conventions, clear APIs, and structures that help both people and agents move fast without creating a mess.
By Szymon Chudy, Senior Software Engineer @ Netflix
19:30 - Pizza & networking
