Beyond Gaming: 🦃Techgiving 🎮
Less networking. More playing.
Before everyone disappears for Thanksgiving, we’re getting a group of NYC’s founders, investors, operators, builders, and tech people together for something a little different.
No panels. No pitches. No awkward networking circles.
Just games, friendly competition, drinks, and a room full of people worth getting to know.
Because sometimes the best relationships aren’t built by asking, “So, what do you do?”
They happen while you’re competing against each other, talking trash, celebrating a win, or teaming up with someone you met five minutes ago.
What’s Happening
Expect an evening of:
🎮 Games and friendly competition
🏆 Wins, losses, and questionable levels of competitiveness
🤝 Meeting founders, investors, operators, and people across tech
🍸 Drinks and plenty of time to hang out
🎁 A little Thanksgiving spirit
And most importantly, a chance to meet people without making networking the entire point.
Whether you’re building a startup, investing in one, working in tech, exploring your next move, or simply want to meet interesting people and have a fun night, you’re welcome to apply.
Who Should Come?
Founders and aspiring founders
Investors and angels
Engineers, designers, product people, and operators
People working across startups, AI, finance, growth, and tech
And people who just want to have a good time with an interesting crowd
You don’t need to be fundraising.
You don’t need to be hiring.
You don’t need to be looking for anything.
Come to play. The connections can happen naturally.
Why We’re Doing It
A lot of tech events are built around what you can get from the room.
This one is about actually enjoying the room.
We want to create memorable experiences where people get to know each other beyond job titles, LinkedIn profiles, and elevator pitches.
Maybe you meet your next investor.
Maybe you meet your next cofounder.
Maybe you find someone you want to work with.
Or maybe you just absolutely destroy them at an arcade game.
All are acceptable outcomes.
This One’s Curated
We’re keeping this gathering intentionally limited.
When you request to join, tell us:
Why do you want to be in the room?
We’ll review every registration and bring together a mix of people we think will make the night interesting.
This isn’t about having the biggest crowd.
It’s about having the right one.
🎟️ Approval required
Exact location and additional details will be shared with approved guests.
Come ready to play, meet someone new, and maybe get a little too competitive.
Hosted by Beyond Strangers
We bring people together and give them a reason to become more than strangers.
This time, we’re doing it over games.
