​About Michiel Bakker
Michiel is assistant professor at MIT and former AI researcher at Google DeepMind, where he worked on post-training and safety for the Gemini models. Michiel co-led the Dutch National AI Plan and co-authored Europe 2031, a scenario on Europe's AI reckoning that reached over one million readers.
