​At just 24, Alulu has become a leading voice within Rio de Janeiro's new generation of musicians and cultural organisers. A singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and curator, her music draws together the warmth of forró, the lyricism of 1970s MPB and contemporary Brazilian pop. Her songs are filled with humour, tenderness and an enduring connection to nature, celebrating everyday moments with openness and charm.

​Rather than a traditional concert or interview, this is a listening experience.

​We'll move through Alulu's music one song at a time. After each track, we'll pause to reflect, opening up a conversation about the stories, emotions and experiences behind the music before continuing to the next piece.

​The evening is designed to be interactive. Guests are invited to share their own thoughts and questions as we explore themes of Brazilian identity, community, love, creativity and the renewed appreciation of forró among younger generations. Together, we'll step inside Alulu's artistic world and discover how lived experience is transformed into song.

​Before releasing her own music, Alulu worked as a cultural producer and performer, later founding projects including Aqui Jararaca and Forró de Pife, helping introduce traditional forró to a new audience. Her solo career has continued to evolve through collaborations with artists such as Ana Frango Elétrico and Elba Ramalho, balancing deep respect for Brazilian musical traditions with a fresh and contemporary perspective.

​Hosted by photographer and curator Leon Rehman, these sessions celebrate the increasingly rare act of listening with intention. Together, we'll slow down, experience music collectively, and uncover the stories, ideas and emotions that live within each song.
