AI Assurance Exchange: Standards in Action
Building trust in AI through testing, transparency, and global standards
As AI adoption accelerates across industries, the focus is shifting from whether to govern AI to how to do so effectively. For compliance leaders, standards bodies, and business decision-makers, this means ensuring AI systems are safe, trustworthy, and verifiable in practice.
AI Assurance Exchange: Standards in Action convenes global standard-setters, policymakers, and industry practitioners to examine the evolving landscape of AI testing, assurance, and trustworthiness—and how these standards can be applied in real-world contexts.
What to Expect
Global Standards in Focus
Hear from ISO/IEC SC42 working groups on the latest developments in AI trustworthiness, testing, and assurance. Understand how international standards are being developed and what they mean for implementation within organisations.
Panel 1: Opportunities and Gaps in AI Standards
International perspectives from industry and government, on where current AI standards are delivering value and where gaps remain. The discussion will also explore the role of pre-standardisation efforts in enabling future standards and highlight cross-sector collaboration.
Panel 2: Standards for the Region
This session will highlight the region's growing focus on AI governance, including the establishment of regional working groups and early-stage initiatives such as regional red teaming exercises and benchmarking efforts.
Speakers from regional working groups and national bodies will also examine how standards can support regional harmonisation, enable cross-border deployment, and foster trusted and responsible AI adoption across diverse markets.
Panel 3: Translating AI Standards into Practice
How are AI standards operationalised in real-world settings? This panel brings together experts from the demand side (AI app deployers), supply side (testers), and governance of the AI assurance ecosystem to discuss practical approaches that support implementation, testing, and assurance, including insights from the ongoing Global AI Assurance Sandbox.
