CivicTechWR Hacknight
With the wildfire smoke blanketing Waterloo Region today and the Air Quality Health Index hovering at high-risk levels, we want to make sure everyone stays safe and breathes easy.
Tonight’s CivicTechWR meeting is fully hybrid, and we strongly encourage you to join us online!
If you usually walk, bike, or take transit to 165 King St W—or if you have any respiratory sensitivities (like asthma)—please prioritize your health and stay indoors tonight.
How to join online:
We’ll be using KWLUG's BigBlueButton room tonight. It has a fantastic breakout room feature, so we’ll be able to easily pitch, split off into our project groups, and hack away just like we do in person:

If you still plan to come in-person:
We will have a small crew at 165 King St W to host the physical space, keep the doors closed to block the smoke, and get the video feed set up.
Stay safe, drink lots of water, and we'll see you at 5:30 PM (whether on screen or in the room)!
Agenda
5:30 – 6:00 PM: Doors open - grab some food, say hi to everyone, get settled in.
6:00 – 6:15 PM: Introductions and announcements
6:15 - 6:30 PM: Project overviews
6:30 – 7:45 PM: Breakout groups for project work
