About Event

Overview

When AI is designed to sound human, people treat it as human. This shifts trust, dependency and the choices users make. This session looks at where current rules, including UNESCO and the EU AI Act, address this question, where they fall short, and what civil society and practitioners should push for next.

Alina Solotarov, founder and director of the Centre for International Cooperation on AI, will share her work and host a practical conversation on language, design and accountability. Her background spans philosophy (BA/MA, University of Oxford), business (MBA, SKOLKOVO), and futures research (MA, Freie Universität Berlin), with a focus on the cultural and societal dimensions of AI.

Join us for this month's EI Network meet-up for an engaging presentation followed by a community discussion where your perspective matters. This is a space for genuine connection and thoughtful conversation. No recording, no replay, just the kind of meaningful exchange that only happens when we show up for each other.

Agenda:

  • Presentation by Alina Solotarov (20min)

  • Community discussion (35min)

  • Wrap up (5min)

Who is the EI Network?

A global community for practitioners, leaders, and innovators transforming AI from concept to human benefit. Once a month, we gather for real conversations led by community members sharing their work, challenges, and insights. No polished presentations, just practitioners, leaders, and innovators discussing what's actually happening in the field.
