About Event

What will the AI-powered future look like in 10 years?

In this experiemental workshop, you'll work together with like-minded visionaries to articulate a story and picture of one of 3 scenarios:

  1. The Boom Scenario: the vision of abundance (inspired by Alex Wissner-Gross' "Solve Everything")

  2. The Bloom Scenario: a human-and-silicon merged future (inspired by Ray Kurzweil's "The Singularity is Nearer")

  3. The Doom Scenario: civilization-level catastrophe caused by AI (inspired by Elizer Yudkowsky's "If Anyone Builds It Everybody Dies")

Event format:

  1. Register as one of the 3 scenarios to participate in a "Scenario Tribe"

  2. Intro/Teeing up the 3 Scenarios: Boom, Bloom, and Doom

  3. Workshopping with your "Scenario Tribe" and a facilitator to envision:

    • What does 1) society; 2) the economy; 3) the individual look like in 10 years?

    • Creation of AI-generated images/slides for each

  4. Presentation to the group of your Scenario

Post-Event Publication

A publication that synthesizes the anonymous transcripts of group discussions and your presentations will be put together and published following the event which you can share.

All paricipants who opt-in will be recognized in the acknowledgements as a contributor.

Who should participate?

No expertise or crystal ball required! A point of view and the ability to work in a team is all you need.

Want to help organize? E-mail [email protected]

Note: This session will be recorded and transcribed to produce a summary report. All contributions will be anonymized -- no names attached. Recordings will be deleted after transcription. Besides, in the Doom scenario none of this data (or any of us) survives anyway.
