Restructuring the Impact Sector for a Changing World
The world is shifting rapidly, and the social sector is feeling the impact. From the ripple effects of USAID cuts to the growing complexity of global challenges, mission-driven organizations are being asked to do more with fewer resources. Yet, the structures that guide nonprofits and philanthropy remain largely unchanged, making it harder to adapt, respond, and sustain impact.
Now is the time to rethink how we organize for the future. Mergers, partnerships, networks, and alternative models are already helping organizations navigate change, but these approaches need to be shared, scaled, and supported.
On April 1 in Oxford, ahead of Skoll World Forum, we’re bringing together funders, nonprofit leaders, and ecosystem builders to explore how structural innovation can help organizations realign their structures to meet today’s challenges while building a more sustainable sector.
🔹 Jacob Harold, former CEO of GuideStar and co-founder of Candid, will take us through a dozen examples of structural innovation and share examples.
🔹 Following the presentation, Jacob Harold, Jailan Adly, and Seth Cochran will lead an interactive session on how we as a sector can rapidly drive innovative structural change at scale
This is more than a conversation. It’s a space to think, collaborate, and move forward together. We intend to create a space for sector leaders to actually start the work of reimagining our shared structures.
