Noticing: Public Spaces of Midtown — TGIF Edition (Group Walk)
This special weekday edition of Noticing: Public Spaces of Midtown offers a chance to see the neighborhood at its most alive—when the city is in full motion. This isn’t just a tour, but an ode to one of New York’s most misunderstood areas. Together, we’ll explore public green spaces, arcades, Privately Owned Public Spaces (POPS), plazas, and more. Attendees are guaranteed to leave with a deeper appreciation of Midtown.
This walk encourages attendees to develop a deeper awareness of their surroundings, learn about local history, and even make new friends. Be prepared to look around, pay attention, and discuss your findings.
Duration: 2–3 hrs | Distance: 4 miles
Location: This walk begins at Starvos Library (455 5th Ave, New York, NY 10016) a short walk from the Bryant Park B, D, F, M and 7 trains. We'll explore midtown and end the walk at Bryant Park.
