βThis practical self-defense workshop focuses on the fundamentals of protecting yourself, with specific attention on how to safely and effectively respond to an oncoming punch. Youβll be guided through foundational techniques and a short defensive sequence designed to build awareness, confidence, and quick decision-making in real-life scenarios. Be ready for a dynamic class where you can also have fun and meet new people!

βThis workshop is open to all levelsβespecially women looking to feel more confident, prepared, and grounded in their body. No prior experience is required!

βPlease keep hand/wrist jewellery to a minimum and have hair tied up

βJanani Anand has been practicing karate for over 15 years and is deeply passionate about sharing practical self-defense skills with her community. She has taught through her own karate club and facilitated self-defense workshops at Iskwew Health. Her teaching goes beyond technique, with a strong focus on awareness, confidence, and feeling empowered in everyday situations.
