WiFiProof started from a simple real-world behavior: whenever people arrive at a hackathon, conference, coworking space, or venue, one of the first things they ask for is the Wi-Fi password.
That moment already says something important, you are physically there, inside that space, trying to connect. WiFiProof turns that everyday behavior into a privacy-preserving proof of attendance.
By combining venue Wi-Fi as a local anchor with zero-knowledge geolocation, it allows someone to prove they attended an event at a specific venue without exposing unnecessary personal information. Instead of asking for your full identity just to check in, WiFiProof focuses on proving the one thing that actually matters: that you were there.
