Dreamgirl Summit: Building the Future of Music for Women
The Dreamgirl Summit is a full-day takeover of The Recording Club in Santa Monica — one of the most exclusive creative spaces in the city. On August 8th, we're filling every room with workshops, live music, hands-on production education, singing yoga, and the kind of community that actually changes your career.
This isn't a networking event. There's no awkward mingling over lukewarm coffee. This is a day designed to remind you that the music industry was built without us — and so we're building a better one.
Here's what's happening:
In the Live Room, we're hosting Audacity: How to Get What You Want, and Say No to What You Don't — a panel hosted by Dreamgirl founder, Scarlet, who took up space before anyone gave her permission to. From 3:30 to 5:30 we open the floor for a live jam, and the night closes with live performances from female producers and artists performing their own self-produced work.
The Mixing Room is running back-to-back sponsored education sessions from 3 to 5PM — hands-on DAW workshops and more, where you're actually at the console, not just watching. Followed by an intimate Q&A with a professional mixing engineer. Ask the questions you've been Googling at 2am.
The Podcast Room is running as an all-day confessional booth hosted by "Not Another Life Lesson" podcast. Walk in, answer one question on camera, say what you actually mean. No filter required.
The VIP Lounge upstairs features signature cocktails, a pool table, and a gear bedazzling station — bring your headphones, your cables, your cases. Leave with something that looks like you.
Outside, we've got a BBQ going all day and the outdoor gym is running yoga, somatic singing, and breathwork sessions at the top of every hour.

This event is a women-first space. We especially welcome our LGBTQ+ babes, queer femmes, and non-binary community — you are not an afterthought here, you are the point.
