Canada’s $2.3 Billion AI Adoption Plan: What Can Your Business Access?

Explore government-backed AI adoption funding and financing, who qualifies, and how to get started.

The $2.3 billion supports Canada’s broader AI strategy, including adoption, infrastructure, skills, and trust. Business funding and financing depend on each program’s eligibility rules.

Most business owners have heard nothing about any of it.

This session covers what is actually there, which programs sit underneath the strategy, and who qualifies. We will be straight about who does not.

Then we get practical. We look at what happens when a business puts AI into daily operations. What holds up, what breaks, and what it costs to run. A missed call is lost revenue, and we can put real numbers against that now.

Plain answers from people running AI today.

Bring hard questions. The useful part is usually the argument.

This is the sixth Toronto B2B Marketing Community event. The first five sold out, with about 100 people each.

Who this is for: founders, operators, and business owners deciding what to do about AI. No technical background needed.

Confirmed speakers

Jon E Worren, VP, World Trade Centre Toronto, will open at 6:05 p.m. with lessons from AI Business Catalyst on choosing useful AI projects and finding funding support. He will speak for 20 minutes, followed by five minutes for questions.

Laura Scarlett Martin and Asim Khan, members of the BDC Consulting Network, will cover practical AI adoption through their LIFT/DMAP workshop.

Aria Alim and Tiffany Stull from BDC will bring the business financing perspective.

Benjamin Mak, AI patent attorney at Smart & Biggar, will bring the AI ownership and intellectual property perspective.

Qasim Naqvi, Partner at Strategy&, will deliver a 30-minute masterclass, The AI Gold Rush: Where Is the Value?

Lawrence Zhang, Head of Policy at ITIF's Centre for Canadian Innovation and Competitiveness, will join the panel on why higher AI adoption may still fail to deliver productivity gains.

Mohit Rajhans, media personality and speaker, will moderate the panel.
