About Event

As climate change and sea level rise increase flood risk to shoreline and inland communities, the cost to adapt can seem daunting. Public dollars alone won’t cut it.  In this session, thought leaders from the Bay Area to the East Coast will share insights for how we pay to address resilience --from innovative insurance, bonds, development incentives, public and private partnerships, and more.

This session is co-sponsored by the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission, ICLEI-USA and SPUR.

Networking reception to follow, sponsored by Dundon Advisors LLC.

Participants:

  • Sarah Atkinson, Senior Policy Manager, Hazard Resilience, SPUR

  • Ravi Bhalla, ICLEI USA Board Member and New Jersey Assemblymember

  • Jessica Fain, Director of Planning, San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission

  • Trevor Johnson, Arcadis

  • Nuin-Tara Key, Chief Operating Officer, CA Forward

  • Peter Luchetti, Table Rock Infrastructure Partners

  • Saharnaz Mirzazad, Executive Director, ICLEI USA

  • Eric Olson, Co-Founder, HeatWve

  • Xinze Peng, Marsh, Global Risk Management

  • Pat Showalter, City Councilmember, Mountainview
