Come celebrate the opening of ACROSS 跨, our first community RISO open-call exhibition, and one year since the rebirth of Now Place!
ACROSS 跨 brings together 40+ artists exploring boundaries, in-betweens, transness, and all the ways we cross — across space, time, gender, culture, language, memory, and more.
Each work has been made into a 4 × 6 inch RISO print and printed in-house at Now Place in 4 colors, become a collective exhibition of many different interpretations of 跨.
🌷 OPENING NIGHT
Doors open at 5:30PM for music, drinks, exhibition browsing, and prints!
At 6PM, we’ll gather for a short opening reflection from Akaa on one year of Now Place, followed by an Artist Roll Call — participating artists will be invited to stand with their work so we can connect the artworks on the wall with the people who create them.
Throughout the night, add your own story to our Community Wall.
Pick up an ACROSS Stamp Card and move through the exhibition, collect stamps, meet artists, participate in the space, and receive a special anniversary gift. Special RISO gifts will also be available for those bringing home multiple prints from the exhibition. ✶
This night is an exhibition opening, and a birthday party for a little community space that has now been here for one year. Come meet the artists, leave something on our wall, take some art home, have a drink, and celebrate with us. 💌
