Whitepaper Reading Club - Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System
Lite Reading: The Bitcoin Whitepaper with Roostock Collective.
📝 On October 31, 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto released the Bitcoin Whitepaper amid the Global Financial Crisis. 18 years later, the ecosystem has grown enormously, yet many of the problems Bitcoin sought to address still remain and is becoming more serious. We've read 100+ papers, but few have had greater impact than Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System. We’ll (re)read the original paper together and ask: What remains relevant? What no longer makes sense? What did Satoshi get wrong — and what did he foresee? And 18 years later, what have we forgotten?
