About Event

join us for a slow, tactile evening of making and unwinding—just you, some clay, and a table full of gentle creative energy <3

this solo date night is an invitation to explore hand-building with air-dry clay, focusing on smaller, intentional projects like trinket dishes, small bowls, or candle holders. you’ll learn foundational techniques and then follow your curiosity, shaping something personal and perfectly imperfect 💖

we’ll begin with a brief demo and inspiration session, then ease into open making time with tunes playing and bevs served. no experience needed—this is about presence, play, and letting your hands lead!!

all materials are included. come solo, move at your own pace, and enjoy creating alongside a room of lovely humans. you’ll leave with your clay piece and that grounded, satisfied feeling that comes from making something with care :)

cancellation policy:

lmk tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person with advance notice. please check your calendars to ensure you can make the event. if we need to cancel for any reason, you will receive a full refund.

meet angelique scott!

Angelique Scott is a Caribbean-American artist, educator, and activist whose artistic practice is rooted in intergenerational traditions of care and craftsmanship. Drawing from Afro-diasporic material culture, she works primarily with clay, fiber, cowrie shells, and indigo to create both functional and decorative objects. Her work is grounded in Afrocentricity and Africana womanism as frameworks for embodied understanding. Angelique received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Art Education and Craft & Material Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University, with a concentration in ceramics and fibers, and earned her Masters of Fine Arts in Ceramics from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and Architecture. Her professional experience includes studio residencies at Haystack Mountain School of Craft, Vermont Studio Center, Penland School of Craft, Arrowmont, Hambidge, Ibura Arts at Blue Light Junction, and the Skopelos Foundation in Greece. She served on the Board of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts as the youngest onsite liaison, co-organizing the largest clay conference in the U.S. She currently hosts clay workshops along the East Coast. Scott maintains a vibrant studio-based practice investigating spirituality, wellness, and communal healing through craft.
