In her current role, she has a dual focus crafting highly engaging social impact programs for internal team members as well as campaigns to engage clients and partners.
Beryl Ramos-Acosta is an experienced HR Operations Consultant in the tech start-up space. She has spent her career at the intersection of people and operations- building the infrastructure that makes HR work seamlessly behind the scenes so organizations can focus on what matters most, their people and product. While at Sequoia she was part of the Social Impact program helping to bring visibility to many organizations and encourage employee engagement. Today she focuses on mental health programs like the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Emma Acosta is a college student studying Sociology who believes that real change starts with real community. Currently interning with Startup Experts, she focuses on social impact work — bringing attention, energy, and action to the causes that a growing community cares about most. When she's not working toward a more equitable world, you'll likely find her on the volleyball court, where years of competitive play taught her that the best outcomes always come from showing up fully and working as a team.
Roshana has over 20 years of shaping People Operations and Talent strategies across Silicon Valley media, gaming, technology, and e-health companies and mission-driven organizations and has built her career around a core belief: people strategy is business strategy. She is a strategic leader who builds the systems, culture, and clarity that fast- growing teams need to thrive. Her work has spanned international hiring, people operations, performance management, compensation, and organizational design during periods of rapid expansion and transformation. She has scaled global teams ranging from MTV Networks, Viacom, Nickelodeon Games Group, CBS, and Al-Jazeera America to high-growth tech and gaming companies such as PayPal, Sybase, Roblox, Willow Pump, and LifeMap Solutions. A key example of this was at Roblox, where she scaled global talent operations during a period of hyper-growth doubling the workforce (100-250) while implementing recruiting infrastructure that supported the company on its path to a $40B+ IPO. Previously, at Kindwell Inc. as a trusted advisor to the C-Suite, driving a high-trust culture of belonging and creativity. She is a proven culture carrier, driven strategic HR processes from the ground up including performance management, employee handbook, onboarding, and compliance. Her expertise included - driving best practices in hiring as well as Neurodiversity outreach targeted to communities in Autism, ADHD etc. to optimize workplace success. Whether in Silicon Valley tech or mission-driven community organizations (Kaiser Permanente, Alameda County Community Food Bank), she brings a blend of operational excellence, strategic foresight, and deep empathy.
