About Event

Welcome to the AI meetup in Waterloo, in collaboration with AICamp, Intel, Moorcheh and Shyftlabs. Join us for deep dive tech talks on AI, GenAI, LLMs and Agents, hands-on experiences on code labs, workshops, and networking with speakers and fellow developers.

Agentic AI is moving fast from local prototypes to live enterprise deployments, but critical infrastructure challenges remain: from running efficient local inference to solving massive memory and context bottlenecks at scale.
Hosted at the Accelerator Centre in Waterloo—a premier hub for tech founders and innovators—this event brings together startup founders, builders, and enterprise leaders to explore what it truly takes to make Agentic AI production-ready. Featuring experts from Intel, Moorcheh.ai, and Shyftlabs.io, this focused session presents a complete development stack through technical deep dives, covering both local multimodal architectures and enterprise-grade memory layers.

Agenda:
* 5:30pm~6:00pm: Checkin, Food and networking
* 6:00pm~7:00pm: Tech talks and Q&A
* 7:00pm~8:00pm: Open discussion and Mixer

Session 1: Local-First, Multimodal Agent Architectures (Intel) Planning a trip from visual input is a deceptively complex problem for AI. Ezequiel Lanza (Intel) will kick off the event by presenting a multimodal-first, local-first agentic architecture. By uploading a single image, the system generates a full travel plan using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) delegation—running fully locally without cloud dependencies. Learn how models are optimized and executed using OpenVINO and OpenVINO Model Server across CPUs and GPUs, and explore a router/specialist pattern where dedicated agents handle image understanding, hotel, and flight searches.

Session 2: The Memory and Context Challenge (Moorcheh.ai + Shyftlabs.io) Following Intel, Majid Fekri and Siyavash Nia will share raw engineering insights from powering one of the world's largest vector search, enterprise AI memory use cases. As Shyftlabs scaled their agentic workflows, they required massive concurrent vector search capable of sustaining high Queries Per Second (QPS), sub-millisecond latency, and 100% deterministic accuracy. Together, they will explore the database and pipeline engineering behind transitioning from legacy, RAM-heavy databases to Moorcheh's highly compressed vector search engine and memory layer.

Session 3: Sneak Peek: MemAnto – Open-Source Agentic Memory by Moorcheh.ai. Get an exclusive early look at MemAnto, Moorcheh.ai’s groundbreaking open-source agentic memory layer. Ahead of its official launch on April 30th in San Francisco, Tara Khani, Co-founder & CEO of Moorcheh.ai, will unveil how MemAnto empowers developers to build truly stateful, context-aware AI agents. Discover how this open-source tool solves critical context bottlenecks, enabling agents to retain long-term, persistent memory and seamlessly recall past interactions across complex, multi-step workflows.

What You Will Learn:
✔ Local Agent Deployment: Discover practical architectures and configurations for building MCP-centric, multimodal systems that are extensible and production-ready using Intel OpenVINO.
✔ Production-Ready Agentic Memory: See live technical breakdowns of the complete stack for building deterministic, persistent memory for autonomous AI agents.
✔ Technical Implementation at Scale: Gain insights on bypassing legacy database bottlenecks to achieve high QPS, eliminate multi-tenant resource contention, and guarantee exact-match accuracy.
✔ Expert Q&A & Networking: Engage directly with technical leaders from Intel, Moorcheh.ai, and Shyftlabs.io. Connect with fellow developers, CTOs, and practitioners building the next generation of enterprise AI application stacks.
