Introduction to Winter Tree Identification - Washington, DC

​Join TVOP Volunteers for an introduction to winter tree identification!

​We will learn to identify trees based on bark, buds (if we can see them), and other characteristics, where possible (e.g. location, water sources).

​This event is for anyone who has ever wondered, "what is that tree?" when most trees have lost their leaves!

​Volunteers will show everyone the basics of using a dichotomous key!

​We ask folks under the age of 18 to please register themselves and an adult to accompany them. If you require a service dog to attend, please let us know and we’ll collaborate with you on how to keep you both comfortable and hydrated at this event.
