🎙️ Voice AI × Fintech Buildathon
Build a voice agent that understands your money.
Join Bachatt and Digia for a hands-on Voice AI × Finance Buildathon in Gurugram. Spend a day building real voice agents that can understand financial data, uncover useful insights, and take action on behalf of users.
No slide decks or theoretical discussions. Pick a problem, build a working prototype, and demo what you've created.
What you'll build
Give your money a voice. Build a voice-first agent that can understand financial information and respond naturally in Hindi or English.
Connect the dots. Work with mock financial data across SMS alerts, emails, bank and credit card statements, loan agreements, and insurance documents.
Turn insights into action. Go beyond answering questions. Build an agent that identifies a useful opportunity or problem and helps the user do something about it.
You'll start with the problem space and a shared dataset, then build your own solution with access to the tools and technologies you prefer.
What could you build?
Here are a few challenges to get you started:
The Sunday Money Call: Identify unusual spending, forgotten subscriptions, and upcoming EMIs, then help the user take action.
The Loan Negotiator: Analyse loan details and credit history to identify opportunities for better terms.
The Insurance Companion: Find relevant policy information, explain coverage, and help prepare a claim.
The Subscription Hunter: Find recurring payments and help users manage unnecessary expenses.
The Credit Coach: Explain changes in a user's credit profile and suggest practical next steps.
Have a better idea? Bring it. The best solutions start with a real problem.
Why Voice AI × Finance?
Financial information is scattered across messages, emails, statements, and documents. People often have the data they need but struggle to connect it all and decide what to do next.
Voice offers a more natural way to interact with that information. AI agents can go a step further by reasoning across multiple sources and helping users take meaningful action.
The challenge is to build an agent that does more than talk. It should understand context, provide useful answers, and complete at least one meaningful action.
The challenge
By the end of the buildathon, your prototype should:
Understand: Extract and connect information from the provided financial dataset.
Reason: Identify a useful insight relevant to the user's situation.
Speak: Support a natural, voice-based conversation in Hindi or English.
Act: Complete or meaningfully initiate at least one useful action.
Voice is mandatory. A text-only chatbot that answers questions won't meet the spirit of the challenge.

What's at stake?
₹10,000 cash prize for the winning build.

Who should come?
This buildathon is for people who enjoy turning ideas into working products:
Developers building with LLMs, voice interfaces, and AI agents
Founders exploring new AI-powered product experiences
Product builders who want to prototype and validate ideas quickly
Fintech enthusiasts interested in making financial services more useful and accessible
You don't need to be a finance expert. Bring your curiosity, your laptop, and the willingness to build.
Before you arrive
Bring your laptop and charger. You'll be building throughout the day.
Set up your AI coding tools. Bring your preferred development environment.
Prepare your voice stack. You can use Sarvam, ElevenLabs, or another suitable voice platform. Check your account and API usage limits beforehand.
Bring headphones and a phone. They'll help you test voice interactions.
Use the provided mock data. Do not upload real personal or financial information.
You can build solo or in a team of two. The focus is on working prototypes, thoughtful problem-solving, and useful agent behaviour.
