Burn Unit Prep Work Party in Trout Lake

​Come help us prep for one of our fall PBA burns! To support safe and effective burn operations later this fall, we’ll be helping dig fire lines, limb trees, and scatter logs and branches (among other tasks!) at a Trout Lake property. This is a great opportunity to learn about unit prep, get experience with hand tools, and meet fellow PBA members and volunteers. We’ll finish off the afternoon by grilling up burgers and hot dogs with some cold refreshments. Folks are also welcome to take a dip in the White Salmon River that runs along the property.

​What to wear/bring:

​Wear sturdy shoes and long pants.

​Bring gloves, a hard hat, and eye protection if you have them. We will also have extras of all of those things if you need to borrow them. Bring a camp chair and swimsuit/extra clothes if you would like to hang out and dip in the river after we're done!

​The property owner has graciously offered to cook burgers and hot dots for everyone once we finish up working. Please bring enough snacks and water to get you through up to three hours of work beforehand.
